We have been asked on a number of occasions if there is a simple and cheap introduction to Media Composer and now with the introduction of Media Composer First this can be done for FREE!
For people such as Students and Producers who need the basics of the editing interface and the process of building and manipulating a simple edit this is the course for you.
While only 5 hours long long, you cover all the major key components used within Media Composer First with instructor led exercises to help you practice key techniques.
The class covers:
- Introduction to Media Composer First
Launching Media Composer and choosing a Project. Overview of the interface.
- Using and selecting shots
Using Bins, selecting shots and marking them for edits. Creating your first edit.
- Refining the edit
Adding and removing shots and simple trimming with video and audio in sync.
- Working with Audio
Simple level changes and audio manipulation.
- Simple Effects
Simple clip effects and titles.
- Exporting the edit
Export your edit for viewings and review processes.
- Getting Media into your Avid
Using AMA to get to shots and importing media.
This course is aimed at anyone wishing to have a simple introduction to Avid Media Composer with no previous experience.
